Henry Fonda returns as Frank James in this rip-roaring sequel to Jesse James. After his famous outlaw brother Jesse is shot in the back by the cowardly Ford brothers (John Carradine, Charles Tannen), Frank takes justice into his own hands. With the help of his young friend, Clem (Jackie Cooper), and the beautiful daughter of a Denver journalist (Gene Tierney), Frank manages to avenge his brother's death and even obtain a full pardon from the Governor of Missouri.
