Don Ameche does a superb job playing the role of the eccentric young Scottish inventor in this compelling recreation of the invention of the telephone. Co-starring Loretta Young as Bell's wife Mabel, and Henry Fonda as his assistant, Thomas Watson. Also included in the DVD package is the one-hour 1945 Lux Radio Theater adaptation of the movie, starring Don Ameche and June Deprez.
