The year is 1852 and the high society young women of New Orleans are expected to be shyly flirtatious, modestly beautiful, and always conventional. However, headstrong Julie Marsden (Bette Davis) is anything but conventional. When her stubborn vanity and pride costs her the love of the handsome Southern aristocrat Preston Dillard (Henry Fonda), Julie vows to win him back, even after he marries another woman (Margaret Lindsay). Bonus features: theatrical trailer and the 1949 Screen Director's Playhouse presentation of Jezebel, starring Bette Davis.
